HOW TO USE
At 10 inches in diameter, the Güden Proofing Basket is one of the largest bannetons on the market, holding 2 lbs of dough, while still small enough to easily store away in your kitchen cabinet. It’s even easier to use.
Before first use your banneton is still “green” so you have to condition it by lightly misting with water then dust it with flour and tip out the excess the day before using. Then just apply flour to either the bare basket or the linen liner, shake out the excess and place kneaded dough in the basket for the final rise. Transfer the loaf into a pot in the oven or use with a bread machine.

HOW TO CLEAN
To remove any remaining flour, simply tap the basket on the counter. The only other maintenance is an occasional hand washing in warm water. This sturdy basket is even attractive enough to double as a serving piece for outdoor meals and entertaining.
